Overlooked (By Me) Chuck Palahniuk’s “Rant”
This just embarrassed me. I am definitely a Chuck Palahniuk reader, but not a fan. If I were, I wouldn’t have been watching Family Guy and instead reading “Rant”. Either way, from a state priding itself upon mudtracks and random vehicular homicides, I can only endorse this book.

A Few More To Add To The 64 Manliest Movies
Campus Squeeze has put together a list of the 64 Manliest Movies To Date, and for the most part, got it right. However, here are a few they missed:
- The Way of the Gun - For the opening line alone, this is classic…plus some impressive gun fights.
- All the original movies that have been remade, e.g. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre circa ‘74.
- Point Break - I need say anything more?
- Heat - The showdown outside the bank is easily one of the best gun fights in cinema
- Straw Dogs - Sam Peckinpah’s study of a passive-aggressive man, Dustin Hoffman, pushed to his violence breaking point results in an amazing 15 minute revenge sequence at the end.
- Layer Cake - This film proved to me, once Daniel Craig was signed for Casino Royale, he would work.
Point Break 2…Why The Hell Not
Yes the rumors are true, Point Break 2 has been green-lit is on the way to being penned. However, details of the film have leaked which has me worried that this sequel will seek to sullen the reputation of the first. According to AintItCool.com, the plot for Point Break Indo
When Billy Dalton, military special ops and star surfer, is disqualified from the pro-surfing tour, he takes off for the coast of Bali looking for the perfect wave. While there he’s recruited by a private security force who are trying to find a gang known as The Bush Administration, surfing outlaws and modern day pirates who work like “The Ex-Presidents,” a bank robbing crew from Malibu twenty years ago.
This has all the makings for a horrible movie; much in the same vein as a Jaws 2, this could be a perfect example of a film that detracts from it predecessor’s glory, despite a 12 year hiatus from surfing/robbing. Damnit, Swayze better have made it to New Zealand on his board, because I AM A [SCARED] FBI AGENT!
Personal Finance Podcasts
Slowly, I am trying to actually transition this site into something useful and not just dedicated to axillary characters in film. To that end, GetRichSlowly.com has posted twelve personal finance podcasts that seem to be fairly useful and legit coming from finance regulars such as Dave Ramsey and Kiplingers.

AVP Requiem London Marketing
Ok, this is a pretty funny promotional tactic for the London release of AVP Requiem, but Jesus Christ, look at this kid. He will be 35 sitting and Aliens 3 will come of UPN and he will start crying hysterically and piss himself. Excellent pic though.
