Cast of “The Expendables”

We were told that another Rambo is in the works, but until that happens we are left wondering when Sylvester Stallone will right the wrongs in war-torn countries across the globe. Well no more. Sly is starring, writing and directing a new movie, as he did the remarkable Rambo, called The Expendables that might just be the tongue-and-cheek version of what the Rambo movies have been so serious about all these years, the horror of war and the expendable nature of soldiers sent to fight (I reference Rambo:First Blood Part 2, the riverboat Ho/Rambo speech about being expendable, not getting invited to the party, “You’re not expendable Rambo”, etc).

Sarcasm aside, the plot goes something like this according to IMDb, “A team of mercenaries head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator.” This even sounds like a Rambo movie! Better than the premise and the auteur maning the helm, is the cast listed below. This could make Point Break look like Jane Eyre. Let’s be honest here, Dolph Lundgren and Sly reuniting for the first time since Rocky defeated communism…amazing. Where’s Carl “Action Jackson” Weathers, Bill Duke, Don “The Dragon” Wilson?
