We were told that another Rambo is in the works, but until that happens we are left wondering when Sylvester Stallone will right the wrongs in war-torn countries across the globe. Well no more. Sly is starring, writing and directing a new movie, as he did the remarkable Rambo, called The Expendables that might just be the tongue-and-cheek version of what the Rambo movies have been so serious about all these years, the horror of war and the expendable nature of soldiers sent to fight (I reference Rambo:First Blood Part 2, the riverboat Ho/Rambo speech about being expendable, not getting invited to the party, “You’re not expendable Rambo”, etc).

Fleet Foxes - “He Doesn’t Know Why”
One of the best songs of the year, and unfortunately one of the only songs I actually like of the Fleet Foxes.
Best Breakfast & Bloody Mary in Dallas - Lucky’s Cafe
On Oak Lawn, this place is certainly original. With a feel of the local surroundings, you are greeted by a joyful host, seated, then wait for the fireworks. Combining diner fare with southwestern influence, Lucky’s diner gives the best of both world to patrons. Favorites include the Belt Sandwich, Black Bean Burrito, and any omelette you chose. However, on a Saturday or Sunday morning, Lucky’s bartenders concoct a Bloody Mary to rival any. I am not a Bloody Mary guy…but damn, amazing. Take a look at their web site here, and enjoy.
